"Houses 4 Hounds" is working hard to keep dogs warm this winter
Updated: Aug 2, 2019
Langebaan Animal Care's Houses 4 Hounds project, led by Tracy Mistry, has been out and about this weekend ensuring as many dogs as possible get a kennel to keep safe and warm this winter.
While we were there, we did some extra community deeds and helped a family move house.
A huge thanks to two of our new volunteer heroes; Ranger and Stacey!
We really made a difference!
More about the project
It is our belief that every dog needs and deserves shelter.
Many dogs in the community have no shelter from the elements. Members of the community with a household income less than R5000 per month qualify for subsidised dog housing for just R170.
Together with the help from our sponsors, we build and subsidise the provision of dog houses to dogs in need. We also fix and repair houses to ensure they give the protection needed.
Please contact us if you are interested in helping us make, deliver or repair dog houses!
